Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia was founded over 1500 years ago, in 485 by King Vakhtang Gorgasali. A city with a population over 1, 5 million people, is picturesquely situated on the boundary of Europe and Asia in the valley of the Mtkvari River and is surrounded by mountains on three sides. The narrow, cobbled streets wind their way between the colorful houses. After Metekhi church and Alvabari – old town we walk down to Abanotubani, the historic quarter in the center of Tbilisi, famous for its bathhouses or Hammams, located on the naturally warm sulfur springs. Being built in XVII-XIX centuries, many celebrities visited the baths, including Alexander Dumas and Alexander Pushkin. We will also see the Narikala Fortress by cable car today.
